Yesterday was spent wandering in and out of galleries taking in other photographers work. Some beautiful photos at Aperture but for the most part it all seems so contrived. Vacant stares. Lying on beds. meh. Off onto the streets again and there he was stripping the copper from wires. His name is Len and he gets $2.50 a pound. Says he doesn't ever cut himself but with every question I asked I was sure it would be the time the knife slipped.
