Rambling slowly through the streets of Detroit, trying not to just photograph abandoned tires (which makes me crazy!) and pointy top homes I happened upon Street Folk 2. The second coming of Tyree Guyton's Street Folk installation that was in Brush Park - LINK. It's a quiet part of town and far enough from The Heidelberg Project but I knew immediately what I found when I spied God+War on the porch. There was objection to the first transformation to the home, which was called Spire by Artefacting, so I wonder how the neighbors feel about this. Over the years Tyree has come up against a LOT of people that do not like what he is doing but thankfully that hasn't ever stopped him. Google Map Canfield and Chene - looks sweet from the satellites.
