One of the many projects that I have going on the last few years is Fishing, Urban Fishing to be exact. It all started with an adventure to Belize but manifested itself along the shores of Brooklyn. Most of the fishermen now know me and don't question my need to photograph their afternoon, I've become a blip in their fishing family. Red Hook, Long Island City, Williamsburg, and as far as the Rockaways - they all seem to know each other. They know the stories, they know the timing and the tides - they are each other's family. Sometimes that is hard to photograph, but most times I'm greeted with a smile when they see me ride up on the bike... camera in hand. "there she is, when you going to throw a line out?"
