One year ago I was in Cairo where I watched the BP oil explosion surrounded by workers from the oil fields of Egypt. Expats waiting for their plane rides home well aware that it could have been them. I returned home a few days later to work at the ad agency of record for BP. Ironically I'm now working on a different oil client which has me seriously considering another trip down to the Gulf Coast to see how the fishermen are doing.
