Merry Christmas!

It's been a few days filled with family and fun with more madness to come today. Trying to post photos but new laptop doesn't like old card reader :( So the camera is full awaiting a download and i'm playing with my new iphone camera+ app. it's a good one with lots of adjustment features but my favorite part is the exposure & focus. finally! happiness.

Family Traditions

Every family has their traditions and mine is no different. Christmas time brings us together where we toast the year with a shot or too many of Yagermeister. Gather around, lift them up! But before the Yager there were the Cherries. No one is positive how old they are but they always appeared for the holidays - a glass jar filled with cherries soaking in Everclear. I don't think we have seen them since my Uncle passed, yet every year as the Yager shots came out the cherries were always discussed with great memories and an aura of mystery. But this year, they were back! Found in the basement, on the shelf, and so the tradition returns. After a few shots someone always turns into Santa and the fun begins. Got to love family.

Merry Christmas!

Dreaming of warmer weather - here's one from Belize 2 years ago. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend.

When I arrived in Michigan it was covered with snow, almost 2 feet deep. We had a beautiful white Christmas and then it rained... the snow melting away with steam coming off of everything, dreamy foggy steam. Looking outside now, only small clumps of brown snow.
