Old Rugged Sauce

Brooklyn Rod and Gun Club, 2012

Yesterday was a tough day and the last thing I felt like doing was trekking to Williamsburg, but within minutes I knew it was the right decision. There is nothing like a small venue full of some very talented friends to wipe away worries for a moment.  Thank you!

ORS

Brooklyn Rod & Gun, June 2011

Another great night with the Old Rugged Sauce at the Rod & Gun club. It took some teamwork to get my favorite song played but we made it happen before I had to ride off into the night. Now I've had it playing in my head all morning, I sing along and smile. You can too here: Witchita Lineman

Click here for more images from last night's fun, as well as previous adventures with ORS -enjoy!

Old Rugged Sauce with a side of Ween

I don't fancy myself a music photographer but I'll try anything. ORS made it to a big stage at the Knitting Factory opening for Gene Ween so you know I had to take photos! No running into each other or backing into walls at this show. After ORS, Gene Ween came out and sang himself silly often trying to over-sing the crowd. I imagine if you are a big Ween fan this was amazing, even though at moments it felt like a frat party, was a great performance by all. More photos on Flickr.

I hear you singing in the wires

A quiet afternoon following an early morning shoot, I wasn't sure where the day was going to take me or if I was even up for any of it, but there were friends to visit and bikes to ride so off I went into the day... it was the point when Stretch said, "hey Paulie's playing, you should come" that changed the whole momentum. Down by my old apartment, where the smell of high tide reminds you how close the water is, we strolled into a space filled with music, friends, friends via dogs and all things fishing. Together we shared the night which at times felt more like a movie then reality, but thats what is so great about life and it's why I live in this crazy city.
